Ugh.
Cliche, much?

CAPTION
"You're an anomaly, James Olsen.
But an asset nonetheless."

Jimmy's turned to face the operatives. No fear. Smug.

JIMMY OLSEN
I'm afraid you're gonna have to take this up with my CEO, boys.

Batman Inc. - Peas In A Pod - Danial Carroll

PAGE ONE (five panels)

PANEL 1. Batman and Dick Grayson are standing on a rooftop, looking down. They are watching someone.

DICK:
Should we even be here?

DICK:
It's a little out of our jurisdiction, don't you think?

BATMAN:
That's the whole point of Batman Inc.--to extend our reach as far as possible.

PANEL 2. Close on Dick, looking through binoculars.

DICK:
And you want to recruit this guy?

PANEL 3. Dick is looking at Batman.

DICK:
Don't get me wrong, the guy's got some skills.

DICK:
It's just, he seems a little--I don't know--crazy.

BATMAN:
I've profiled him thoroughly.

PANEL 4. Dick is looking through the binoculars again.

BATMAN (OP):
In fact, he's very much like me.

DICK:
Hey, where did he go?

PANEL 5. Standing behind both Dick and Batman, is Moon Knight. Dick is surprised, while Batman looks to have been expecting it, with a slight grin.

MOON KNIGHT:
Why have you been following me?

BATMAN:
See.

Batman Inc – Not Where The Action Is, Where It Will Be – Ryan K Lindsay

1. This page will work best as a series of wide and thin panels. Our hero for this strip, a man named Rob, sits on the ledge of a building. The architecture looks like something from a Frank Quitely comic. Rob is a muscular fellow, taller than the average man, scruffy black hair, a streamlined navy superhero suit hugs his body. It is a padded affair, ready for combat, ready for anything.
Caption: He will be trained.

2. The camera of the panel zooms out, we see more of the building, and perhaps some of the streets it towers over. The streets are empty. Rob now has a lady next to him, she looks like Catwoman – for all intents and purposes, she is Catwoman.
Caption: He will be monitored.

3. A further zoom out. Catwoman has changed to Power Girl, but she looks kind of fuzzy, you can now tell she is a hologram.
Caption: He will be provided with all he needs.

4. A further zoom out, we can barely make out Rob and his companion, but we can see the female is different yet again. Perhaps Zatanna, this time. We can see the outskirts of the city, there isn’t anything beyond a certain perimeter, just red earth.
Caption: He will have to show patience and fortitude. He will be tested.
Caption: But he will be granted every opportunity and thus every grace.

5. We have panned back to show this domed city in its red Martian landscape.
Caption: And in this new frontier, he will be ready.
Caption: Nothing will stop the Batmen.

Batman Inc. - HR Management - Sime McDonald

PANEL ONE
Superman and Batman (Bruce Wayne) are standing on a Metropolis rooftop, their figures illuminated only by moonlight, the sky coated in black paint. Below them, at the forefront of the panel, Demolitia (visual reference) has just delivered a nose-crunching punch to Barrage’s (visual reference) face, smashing him just beneath his visor, blood already gushing from the hit. Demolitia is wearing her traditional costume with a minor alteration; the Bat symbol is prominent on her top.

DEMOLITIA
Hyarrgh!

SFX
CRACK!

SUPERMAN
 I don't like this.
Marita, Bruce?
Really?

PANEL TWO
Batman is smiling, gazing down at his latest recruitment.

BATMAN
Has your walkabout around America eviscerated your noble sensibilities, Clark?
I'm practicing what you used to preach, trying to rehabilitate those who've still got the capacity to do good.

PANEL THREE
Demolitia slams a batarang into the asphalt road beside the unconscious Barrage.

CAPTION
(SUPERMAN)
"Rehabilitate? Or refocus their hate onto your targets?"

PANEL FOUR
Superman hovers above Batman, arms crossed; the Man of Tomorrow trying to intimidate the Dark Knight.

SUPERMAN
Marita needs help, Bruce.
Not this kind of help.
When I last saw her she almost killed Richie Corday.
She's a broken woman who - - -

PANEL FIVE
Cut to Demolitia's apartment. She's tugging off her mask, laying her chunky handgun on a table.

CAPTION
(BATMAN)
"- - - who I'm constantly monitoring, Clark.
Don't worry about Marita."

PANEL SIX
Demolitia has moved out of Panel Five's frame. On the wall she was previously obscuring we see an assortment of newspaper articles and images of Richie Corday, his face circled in several of them. It's clear: she ain't done with him yet.

CAPTION
(BATMAN)
"I've got her under control."

Demolitia and Richie Corday first and last appeared in Action Comics #718 (February 1996).
Barrage first appeared in Superman Annual  Volume 2, #2 (1988)

Batman Inc - Advertising Is Killing Us All - Rol Hirst

Panel One.

A cosy apartment in Gotham City. Chintz wallpaper and ornamental nick-nacks surround a sofa, fireplace and TV. We're looking at the scene from behind the TV set which is casting a sickly light on the apartment's two residents, an elderly couple who have recently died on their sofa. Their heads have set on fire, faces charred, hair burnt, spectacles melted.

Behind the sofa, Batman (Dick Grayson) looks on with Commissioner Gordon at his side. A CSI team is also present.

Gordon: …Crime Scene's best guest at this point, electrical activity in their brains went haywire - all their neurons fired at once…

Batman: …and you think this was triggered by something in our commercial?

Panel Two.

Red Robin examines a separate crime scene with Harvey Bullock. They’re inside a large office / conference room which has become a scene of bloodthirsty carnage. The office has been wrecked, there’s blood everywhere, and a number of taped silhouettes where bodies have been removed.

Bullock: ...room was booked anonymously for a focus group concerning the “marketing strategy, corporate synergy and brand awareness...”

Red Robin: …of Batman Inc?

Bullock: Yup.

Panel Three.

A huge billboard advertisement for Batman Inc. in a prime location above Gotham City (think Gotham’s answer to Times Square). The advert has an image of Batman and Robin in action, along with the Batman Inc. logo and the strapline: “Saving the world is our business!” Much of the poster is however obscured by the five bodies hanging in front of it.

Above the billboard are a number of poles with spotlights (used to light the poster at night). From each pole hangs a noose, with a corpse on the end. Five bodies in total, each with a one word note stitched to their clothing. The notes read "Batman" "Inc." "Couldn’t" "Save" "Us”.

Robin (Damian Wayne) stands on a nearby rooftop, surveying the scene with a dismissive expression on his face.

Robin: Suicide? Cretins…

Panel Four.

Batman Inc. headquarters. Bruce Wayne’s office. Bruce sits at his desk, frowning over steepled fingers, while Dick, Tim and Damian (out of costume) relate their day’s investigations. Tempers are frayed, but Bruce remains stoic.

Dick: …our marketing department’s obviously gone kill-crazy!

Tim: ...could ruin Batman Inc’s reputation before we even--!

Damian: …gullible saps, I have no sympathy…

Bruce: When you’re all quite finished...

Panel Five.

Close on Bruce, holding in his anger.

Bruce: Batman Inc. has no marketing department. Bitter experience has taught me the people who work in that particular field are no more trustworthy than the residents of Arkham, so I handle all such tasks myself.

Bruce: Whoever is responsible for these tragedies does NOT work here.

Panel Six.

Pull out for a longer shot of Bruce at his desk, seen over the shoulders of Dick, Tim and Damian. Bruce thumps his fist down on the desk.

Bruce: Gentlemen - I believe it’s time to re-establish our core values in an increasingly fractured marketplace...

Tim: Did Bruce just make a funny?

Dick: I hate it when he does that.

Batman Inc - The Batmanologist of America - Max Barnard

The Premise: With all these Batmen out there nowadays through Batman Inc it has become apparent that Bruce Wayne would need someone to keep track of all of them. Someone who's an expert on all things batman. Someone who not only loves the world of Batman whole-heartedly, but also loves seeing kicks to the face and car batteries being thrown at villains. As such, we meet the PREMIERE BATMANOLOGIST OF AMERICA: BatSims.

Yeah, it's totally that one guy. And I promise I'll do a serious strip next time.

---------------------------------------------------------

Page 1

1.1
A dark figure (BatSims, visual references provided as needed) is swinging through the sky, wearing a Batman snuggie and a Bat-cowl.

Sims(caption): This is basically the most baller thing I've ever done.

1.2
We see this scene in a big ol' dream cloud. It's BatSims attempting and failing to lift a car battery.

Sims(caption): Sure, I don't have the strength...

1.3
Same style of panel, this time featuring BatSims failing to kick above his height.

Sims(caption): Or the agility...

1.4
Another dream cloud panel, in which BatSims is playing Magiquest (google for reference to the absolutely brilliant activity) as two pinstriped gangsters aim Tommy Guns at him from behind.

Sims(caption): And I'm probably WAY too distracted to actually fight crime...

1.5
BatSims is entering a doorway marked "Super Secret Batcave. Don't Enter. Seriously."

Sims(caption): But if there's one thing I know, it's Batman.

1.6
The money shot. BatSims' Batcave is a large, open warehouse with a huge set of monitors and various keypads/boards as the focal point of the room. Other items in the room should include: a rocketship labelled "WRA", a HUGE bag of salt, a giant coin with Tarot: The Witch of the Black Rose's face on it, a playing card (a queen) featuring Anita Blake on it and a set of those tubes Batman uses to keep the old Robin costumes in, except containing the costumes of the Ultimate Warrior and Walker, Texas Ranger (beard and all). The monitors should be displaying various members of Batman Incorporated, with the main, largest monitor displaying a map of the world, with bat-logos on various positions all over, marking the many members of Batman, Inc.

Sims(caption): All of them. And THAT's why they need me. The new BATMANOLOGIST of Batman Incorporated.

Batman Inc – Hostile Takeover - Ben Rosenthal

1. A close up of a pair of eyes. They look alert.

SPEECH BUBBLE (Off Panel)
You really thought you could pull this off?

2. A large room which looks to be an office. We are looking down at Bruce Wayne, who is dressed in a business suit. His fists are raised. It was his eyes in the previous panel.

SPEECH BUBBLE (Off Panel)
Honestly, did you think we wouldn’t find out?

3. Same as Panel 2, however pulled back to see that Bruce is surrounded by the costumed members of Batman Inc. Dick Grayson as Batman is the most visible.

DICK/BATMAN
Bruce, we need to talk.

Batman Inc. - Tilting at Windmills - Matt Duarte

Batman Inc. Presents “Tilting at Windmills” by Matt Duarte

This page is five panels, the first three are small and on their own column. The next two are tall, like 2/3rds of the page, and next to each other.

Panel 1

Description: Bruce Wayne sits in the bat cave in front of the computers, still wearing the Batman armor, though without the cowl. He has just gotten there, though he surely is planning to leave soon. Behind him, Alfred is walking into view.

ALFRED: Evening, master Bruce. I trust your trip to Spain was a productive one?

BRUCE WAYNE: Hidalgo has proven more than capable of handling his region.

Panel 2

Description: Bruce has turned around to face Alfred now. There is a smile on his face.

BRUCE: He’s young, idealistic, and impulsive but ready and eager to fight for the greater good. Does that remind you of anyone?

ALFRED: I could think of one or two men I have known that fit that archetype, yes.

Panel 3

Description: Bruce Wayne is now putting on his Batman mask. Walking away, with Alfred in the background.

ALFRED: I trust he is not going to start tilting at windmills when he grows bored, will he?

BRUCE: Funny you should say that...

Panel 4

Description: Here we have Hildago, who is a new character, riding a motorcycle (think The Guardian) with a shield on his back and a large jousting spear on his arm. He is wearing grey metallic armor from the 16th century (see reference) except it has a large Batman symbol on the chest. Behind him Batman is also riding a bike. It’s a relatively empty mountain road.

BRUCE (CAPTION): We had a situation while I was there. An old ghost coming back.

Panel 5

Description: Seen from the top of an industrial wind engine (see reference). There is a fat man on top of it, looking down at the two bikes approaching the place. All around him, there are explosives, and he is holding a detonator in his hand.

BRUCE (CAPTION): A former ally gone awry, actually.

Next: A quixotic quest featuring the Batman of Castilla-La Mancha!
