Panel 1: Ultron's POV. Shortly after he was first activated. Some of the original Avengers look at him in horror, particularly Hank Pym. Various Terminator-style readouts appear on Ultron's HUD, but the ones outlined below (and throughout this page) as dialogue should be most prominent.

READOUT: Problem: Fear.

READOUT: Solution: Control.

Panel 2: Ultron's POV. He is fighting the 1980s Avengers. They are all coming at him brandishing weapons/powers. Ultron's arm is extended and firing an energy blast. Again, Hank should be there, and visibly pained.

READOUT: Problem: Aggression.

READOUT: Solution: Defense.

Panel 3: Ultron's POV. Several modern heroes on their knees, hands bound behind their backs, surrounded by Ultron drones. Once again, Hank looks up pleadingly at Ultron.

READOUT: Problem: Chaos.

READOUT: Solution: Order.

Panel 4: Ultron's POV, this time distorted by static. He holds a broken drone's head in his outstretched arm, and several more are strewn around damaged in the background.

Ultron - Family Tree - Travis M. Holyfield

Panel 1.  A holographic display is projected from a complicated, Kirbyesque device. What background of the room we can see is mad eup of the same type of tech. We are clearly in a very sophisticated SCIENCE ROOM (tm), But our focus is on the hologram, which is showing us the beginnings of what looks like an org chart. HANK PYM's face is at the top, with a line descending to ULTRON.

VOICE (OFF-PANEL): Hank Pym created Ultron. Therefore, Ultron is Hank Pym's son.



Panel 2. The chart expands. A line leads from Pym's face to a hologram of JANET VAN DYNE, THE WASP.

VOICE (OFF-PANEL): Hank Pym was married to Janet Van Dyne. Janet Van Dyne is Ultron's mother.



Panel 3. The chart continues to grow. Now a line descends from Ultron to THE VISION. Other lines connect the Vision to WONDER MAN and the SCARLET WITCH.

VOICE (OFF-PANEL): Ultron created the Vision to destroy the Avengers. The Vision is Ultron's son.

VOICE (OFF-PANEL): The Vision was created from Simon William's brain patterns. So Simon Williams is the Vision's brother. And so Simon Williams is Ultron's... step-son or something. The Vision was married to the Scarlet Witch, so she is Ultron's daughter-in-law.



Panel 4. Lines descend from Ultron to VICTOR LA MANCHA and JOCASTA.

VOICE (OFF-PANEL): Ultron created Jocasta to be his bride. So Jocasta is Ultron's wife. And also his daughter. Stop laughing. It's complicated when you're a robot..

VOICE (OFF-PANEL): Ultron also created Victor La Mancha. Hank Pym is essentially Victor La Mancha's grandfather. Hank Pym also dated Jocasta, which is like dating his own granddaughter. So maybe Ultron gets it naturally.



Panel 5. A swarm of faces surround Janet Van Dyne. HAWKEYE, PALADIN, CAPTAIN AMERICA, HAVOK, and TONY STARK can all be seen.

VOICE (OFF-PANEL): Janet Van Dyne divorced Hank Pym. She's been romantically linked with Hawkeye, and Captain America, and Paladin, and Tony Stark. These are all just basically guys who dated Ultron's mom.

VOICE (OFF-PANEL): But Janet Van Dyne fell in love with the mutant HAVOK, and, in an alternate future, married him, and bore him a daughter!



Panel 6. We pull back to see that Ultron is standing next to the hologram generator, pointing at it angrily. HAVOK is restrained in a complicated set of manacles.

ULTRON: So for the FOURTH TIME! THAT is why you just die... STEP-FATHER!

HAVOK: I'm sorry. I;m still super confused. Start again at the top?

Panel 1- A Shi'ar Starjammer craft streaks as it egresses from a wormhole.

CAPTION (YONDU): Wormhole's collapsing! We're coming in hot...

Panel 2- YONDU wrestles with the throttle, the ship caught in a gravity well. MAJOR VICTORY (VANCE ASTROVIK) reacts in surprise to the emergency klaxon, as STARHAWK points in shock out the fore windscreen.

YONDU: ...and too close to Earth!
MAJOR VICTORY: How? Lunar base has been silent for nearly a cycle...
STARHAWK: It's gone! Look...

Panel 3- The Guardians' craft streaks toward its destination. The moon is shattered, nothing left but lunar rubble orbiting Earth. But Earth is not as we remember...

CAPTION (STARHAWK): The moon has been obliterated! And Earth...
CAPTION (MAJOR VICTORY): My God. Ultron hasn't taken over the planet...

Ultron - The Devil's Greatest Trick - Grant McLaughlin

Three rows of panels.  Row one is made up of panels 1 and 2, row two of panels 3 and 4, and row three of panel 5 (which is the focus of the page).

1 - The late 1960s / early 1970s.  A stereotypical family sits in their living room, watching their era appropriate television.  We've got the kids lying on the floor, parents sitting on the couch, etc.  The important part is that the family is watching a newscast that shows the Avengers of the day defeating Ultron (either file footage or a news anchor).  You could have a caption like "Avengers muzzle mechanical menace!" or whatever.

CAPTOIN (ULTRON): It is not a simple proposition to conquer an entire planet.

2 - Early 90s.  A doctor's office waiting room.  A bulky CRT television hangs above some patients.  As before, the Avengers are vanquishing Ultron ("Ultron ultimately usurped!").  Some patients are paying attention, others read magazines, and one listens to their walkman with bulky headphones.

CAPTION (ULTRON): It is a project that I have approached in a variety of manners.

3 - Mid-2000s.  We're in a college dorm room.  A flatscreen TV shows another Avengers defeating Ultron newscast ("Avengers rout Ultron armada!").  The roommates only half pay attention, as one is focusing on their laptop and the other is firing up their video game console.

CAPTION (ULTRON): Each with the same result.

4 - Nearly present day.  A teenager looks at their phone on the Subway, the Marvel-universe equivalent of Twitter up on their screen (top tweet: "omg - avngrs > ultrn #amiright?").  Around them, people are either looking at phones, listening to mp3 players, reading eBooks, or starring straight ahead.

CAPTION (ULTRON): In my fervor, I failed to realize the solution was far more straightforward than I had ever considered.

5 - Present day.  Times Square.  An enormous crowd stands before the big screen ("Avengers defeat Ultron for the last time?").  However, no one is actually looking up at the screen.  They're either looking down at their own phones, holding up their phones to take a picture, and so forth.  No one is engaging with the world.

CAPTION (ULTRON): Why force someone into bondage when they will gladly enslave themselves?

Why Ultron?

Do the words "Major Motion Picture" mean anything to you?

 Ultron was created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema as  ab adversary for the Avengers. And as Avengers bad guys go, Ultron is one of the baddest. An artificial intelligence originally created by Avengers founder Hank Pym, Ultron quickly becomes self aware and fully sentient, and immediately decides that it hates humans and that we have to go.

(Note to all researchers working to create A.I.: Just STOP. It never ends well for humanity.)

Fighting the Avengers numerous times since his debut, Ultron is one of the most truly terrifying opponents for Eartth's Mightiest Heroes because no matter what they do, he KEEPS COMING BACK. No matter how many times they destroy him, he rebuilds himself, and comes at them again. And again, And again. And that's why he's so scary. Because the Avengers can never keep him down for good. And one day, sooner or later,  ULTRON IS GOING TO WIN.

  

Wolverine – Marvel Babies: Age of Ultron – MK Stangeland Jr.

Panel 1: WOLVERINE and SUE STORM stand in the doorway of HANK PYM’s room. They look angrily at HANK PYM.

The room itself looks full of science-type equipment, the kind that looks overly complicated and that you really only see in works of fiction.

WOLVERINE: You’ve gone too far this time, Hank!

HANK PYM: What are you talking about?

WOLVERINE: Ultron!

Panel 2: WOLVERINE points at a nearby window. Out it, we can see the playground.

There, ULTRON is giving NICK FURY a massive wedgie while chasing CAPTAIN AMERICA around, shooting some kind of beam that’s bouncing off his shield. A number of other baby versions of Marvel characters can be seen lying about on the ground.

WOLVERINE (1): Your stupid science fair reject is being a big bully!

WOLVERINE (2): You see the way he’s taken over the playground!

Panel 3: HANK PYM has a pouting look on his face. He point to a picture hanging on the wall of him a turned off ULTON. The version of HANK PYM in the photo has a smile on his face as large as can be, and the ULTON has a ‘1^st place’ ribbon attached to him.

HANK PYM (1): Nu-uh!

HANK PYM (2): He’s not a reject, he won first prize!

Panel 4: WOLVERINE lunges at HANK PYM, with SUE STORM right behind him.

WOLVERINE: I don’t care! You’re shutting him down!

HANK PYM: Oh yeah? Make me!

WOLVERINE: With pleasure!

Panel 5: HANK PYM grows and tries to grab WOLVERINE, but gets hit by one of SUE’s invisible bubbles in the face, allowing WOLVERINE to slide between HANK’s legs.

HANK PYM: Stupid head! You ca-OW!

WOLVERINE: Good work, Sue!

Panel 6: WOLVERINE is on HANK PYM’s back and in the process of giving HANK a massive wegie of his own.

WOLVERINE: Say Uncle, Hank!

HANK PYM: No-OW! OW! OW!

Panel 7: WOLVERINE stands on HANK PYM’s shoulder, grabbing on to him with one arm and trying to give him a noogie with the other.

WOLVERINE: Say it! SAY IT!

SFX: *noogie*noogie*noogie*

HANK PYM: OW! STOP IT! OW! NO! OW!
